               What is a New Hire Assessment?


As part of our expanded offerings, CNCTS offers employers the ability to professionally evaluate the competency of their technical applicants before hiring them.  This service was designed to minimize employer cost when hiring technical staff. Studies have shown that it's extremely expensive to make a bad hiring decision. The U.S. Department of Labor estimates that the average cost of a bad hiring decision is in excess of 30 percent of the individual’s first-year expected earnings, but could be greater if you factor in these variables:


                  >  Time and expenses associated with onboarding & training new employees
                  >  Hours spent reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates and recruitment advertising fees
                  >  Time and energy managing poor performance
                  >  Drain on productivity from disrupted projects and lack of continuity of work
                  >  Impact on team morale and stress
                  >  Increased risk of legal fees from unlawful termination or discrimination claims

he main issue in today's tech marketplace is a lack of technically competent candidates. With historic low staffing levels, the pressure is high to fill these open positions quickly, leading to repetitive bad hiring decisions.
For the reasons outlined above and to better serve our customer base, we have created the CNCTS New Hire Assessment Program. Employers will now have a solution to the problem of how to professionally vet technical staffing candidates.  Candidates will undergo an independent professional assessment of their technical capabilities and the employer will receive a written, comprehensive assessment of the candidate that is being considered for a position.
